NORTH - VACCINATION CERTIFICATES FOR OCCUPIED PERSONS WILL BE ACCEPTED BY BRITAIN

 Filenews 7 January 2022

Certificates of vaccination of the occupied will be accepted by Britain from Monday, according to a report by Kibris, which cites an announcement by the "presidency" welcoming the decision.

As the PIO broadcasts, in today's report Kibris writes that the announcement of the "presidency" states that "Britain has announced that from 10 January 2022 the vaccination certificates given by the health ministry of the TDVK upon entering their country will be valid provided that the vaccines they approved are included".

The British government, it added, "announced on its official website the new decisions it has taken in the context of the Covid-19 measures and has notified the presidency of the TDVK through the British High Commission that upon entering Britain the vaccination certificates given by the ministry of health of the TRNC will be valid".

The announcement of the "presidency" recalls that difficulties arose in the travel of the "citizens" of the "TDVK" as soon as vaccinations began worldwide and travel increased and that the Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar and the "Ministry of Foreign Affairs" took diplomatic action before various countries to overcome these difficulties.

Noting the efforts made through the bi-communal technical committee on health and the coordinators of the bi-communal technical committees, the announcement recalls that it was agreed by Tatar and President Anastasiades to synchronise the measures of the two sides against Covid-19 in relation to the crossings from June 4, 2021, the opening of all crossing points and the validity of the vaccination certificates of the two sides.

Referring to Britain's decision to recognise the vaccination certificate provided by the "ministry of health", she notes that they continue their intense contacts in coordination with the "foreign ministry" to reflect this so-called positive development in travel to Europe and other countries.
