The reduction of the period of self-isolation from 14 to 10 days, for people who are close contacts of a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 and who under the protocol are obliged to be limited, decided today the Council of Ministers, according to a written statement by Deputy Government Spokesperson Niovi Parisinou.
The decision shall take effect from 24 January 2022. Release earlier than 10 days can be done by laboratory PCR test with negative result on the 7th day of contact or later at own expense.
The Council of Ministers met today under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades.
