Since yesterday they have been studying the data in the Ministry of Health and today it is expected that the competent minister will have a meeting with his close associates in order to complete the list of suggestions that will be presented tomorrow before the members of the Advisory Scientific Committee for discussion and finalization.
The new package of measures should be taken for granted, since after yesterday's report, the concern about an increase in the number of hospitalized patients with coronavirus began to become even greater, as within 24 hours the total number increased by 16 patients, reaching 203, while, as we are informed, that during yesterday a few had also been discharged.
Further reduction of people in gatherings in nightclubs and social receptions, as well as a reduction in the number of gatherings in homes and other places, are up for discussion. The prohibition on the participation of believers in the sanctification ceremonies of the waters on the day of Epiphany [6 January] should be taken for granted, while measures that will affect the operation of the churches will probably be implemented again, with a reduction in the allowed number of believers per liturgy.
Of course, if the results of today and tomorrow show more pressure on public hospitals, which have already emitted a warning signal for the occupancy of intensive care units and increased care units, it is not excluded that the measures that will eventually be decided will be even stricter. but without closing the economy.
The ministry of health is not currently considering measures that will include school closures, but the possibility of increasing sampling in all school units is being seriously considered.
As for the rumours of a fourth universal lockdown ban, the information says that it is not included in the intentions of either the health minister or the government in general. On the table, however, are proposals concerning measures that will affect even more the unvaccinated and in particular the unvaccinated who declare close contacts and are absent from work.
