Crime against property has completely escaped lately in Paphos, denounced local authorities and officials of the province, raising the issue of remote areas outside urban centres and peri-urban areas that until recently monopolized the police news.
Speaking to "F", agents from mountainous and semi-mountainous Paphos report that farmers, stockbreeders, but also homeowners regularly report theft of objects from residences, as well as agricultural tools from fields, warehouses and fenced areas.
People should now take greater care of their property, they point out, but also the Police should increase tours in rural areas that have a large volume of immigrants and in which most are illegal.
"Every one of us who sees suspicious movements should immediately report them to the Police", they stress. "Only with everyone's cooperation will we be able to deal with this unpleasant phenomenon."
