AT -4 DEGREES TONIGHT, THE TEMPERATURE [6-8 degrees on the coast]

Cold air mass affects the area.

Today the weather will be mostly clear but at times there will be locally increased cloud. Winds will initially blow north to northeast, weak to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort to become by the afternoon southwest to northwest, generally moderate 4 Beaufort. The sea will be a little turbulent but initially in the east and north it will be turbulent. The temperature will rise to 13 degrees in the interior, around 15 degrees on the coast and 1 degree in the higher mountains, where locally there will be frost.

In the evening the weather will be partly cloudy. Winds will blow southwest to northwest, weak to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort but gradually will blow to strong, 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little turbulent and later in the west and north it will be turbulent. The temperature will drop to 4 degrees in the interior, around 6 degrees in the south and east coasts, around 8 degrees in the west and north coasts and -4 degrees in the higher mountains. In the mountainous hill areas, frost is expected to occur.

On Tuesday the weather will be mostly cloudy intermittently cloudy and local rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected. Snowfall is expected in the higher mountains.

On Wednesday the weather will initially be partly cloudy with isolated light rains or even light snowfall in the highlands, but is gradually expected to become mostly cloudy.

On Thursday the weather will be mostly clear.

Temperatures will rise on Tuesday to hover near the climate averages. A marked drop is expected on Wednesday. A rise is expected again for Thursday.

The height of the snow in Troodos Square, at the time of issue of the bulletin, was 8 cm.
