More than 157,000 people have already received the third dose of coronavirus vaccines. This is what the Deputy Director of Nursing Services, Evagoras Tampouris, told the state radio, noting that the percentage of adults vaccinated reached 81.5%.
At the age of 16-17, the vaccination rate reached 48.5% and at the age of 12-15 at 36.7%. There are almost ten thousand vaccinations per day, with about a thousand people, every day, to make the first dose.
Mr. Tabouris attributed the problems of overcrowding observed in some centres to the simultaneous attendance of people in the walk-in centres. He pointed out that, during the afternoon operation of the centres, there is a very low flow of people for vaccination.
