CLOUDS, RAIN, COLD AND SNOW ON THEIR WAY

Unstable weather conditions affect the area, while barometric low with centre near Rhodes moving slowly east and will affect our region, from late Saturday night until Monday, with rain, snow and temperature drop. In detail, the forecast:

On Thursday afternoon the weather will be mostly clear, but locally elevated clouds are expected to give isolated rains, mainly in the mountainous and eastern half of the island. On the highest peaks of Troodos there is likely to be transient snowfall. In the evening the weather will be mostly clear, but locally increased clouds are expected to give isolated rains, on the coast or in the mountains. On the highest peaks of Troodos or locally in the higher mountains there is likely to be transient snowfall.

Tomorrow Friday, periods of sunshine will alternate with clouds, which are expected to give isolated rains or thunderstorms. On the highest peaks of Troodos or locally in the higher mountains there is likely to be transient snowfall. The temperature will rise to around 17 degrees in the interior and on the coast and around 6 degrees in the higher mountains.

On Saturday, periods of sunshine will alternate with cloudy weather, which is expected to give isolated rain or thunderstorms, but from midnight onwards the weather will become mostly cloudy, with rain and isolated thunderstorms. In the higher mountains, snowfall is expected. The temperature is not expected to change significantly, to be close to or slightly below the average climatic values.

On Sunday, the weather will be mostly cloudy, with rain and local thunderstorms as well as snowfall in the higher mountains. Transient phenomena will be intense and prolonged. On the windy coast, a temporarily very strong to severe southwesterly wind current is expected. The temperature is not expected to change significantly, to be close to or slightly below the average climatic values.

On Monday, the weather will be mostly cloudy, with rain and local thunderstorms as well as snowfall in the higher mountains. The transient phenomena will be intense and prolonged, while by night the weather will improve noticeably.

The temperature is expected to drop, to be below the average climatic values.
