The Health Insurance Organization announces that a malicious email titled "GHS: Third dose of mRNA vaccine against COVID-19" is circulating via email with the apparent sender being ghs@gesy. org. cy.
The Agency shall inform the public that the e-mail in question is false and has not been sent by or on behalf of the Agency or any other official body.
The public is encouraged to avoid opening this e-mail and to proceed immediately to its deletion in order to avoid possible interception of users' data or other unpleasant consequences from possible infection of their computers with malicious software.
It is noted that, due to the double identification factor procedure (username /key number + code via SMS) applied for access to the GHS Portal, there is no immediate risk of leakage of the Personal Data of the users of the Portal.
The Agency has already informed the Digital Security Authority (ASA) about this incident.
