A coordinated operation was carried out tonight by members of the Aliens and Immigration Service, in cooperation with members of the Pafos Police Department in Chlorakas, resulting in the arrest of ten people.
As part of the operation, ten persons were found in an apartment complex in Chloraka, who violated a decree of the Ministry of Interior that prohibits applicants for international protection from residing within the administrative boundaries of the community of Chlorakas.
The ten persons are being investigated for the offence of violating the decree of the Ministry of Interior on Chlorakas and the Refugee Law. The decree came into force on 11.12.20.
The examinations continue.
