The Ministry of Health, in its announcement, informs the consumer public that the Health Services of the Ministry, in the context of conducting official controls on the market, have sampled the following two products, in which, after laboratory tests by the accredited laboratories of the General Chemical State Laboratory, they were detected in both residues of the pesticide "Chlorpyriphos", which is not authorised in the EU, while residues of the EU-authorised pesticide "Malathion" were also detected in one sample at levels above the maximum acceptable limits:

The Health Services of the Ministry of Health have already informed the food businesses that distribute these products in the Cypriot market, with instructions for the immediate recall / withdrawal of all quantities of these batches.
However, since some quantity of the lots in question may already be in the possession of consumers, they are encouraged to avoid consuming them and, if they wish, to return them to the places from which they have purchased them.
