VACCINATED NUMBERS UPDATED

80% of the adult population received at least the 1st dose of vaccine, with the 2nd target set by the Ministry of Health being achieved according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health.

Specifically, fully vaccinated adults (18 years and older) reached 76% and it is expected that in the next 2 to 3 weeks the percentage of citizens who will have completed their vaccination regimen will also reach 80%. At the same time, efforts continue, through various actions with scientific documentation, to allay any concerns and concerns that some citizens have about vaccination, increasing vaccination coverage and consequently safety in the community at large.

Vaccination coverage at least with 1st dose per age group is as follows:

Overall vaccination coverage with at least the 1st dose of the adult population (18 years and older) is at 80%. At the same time, 76% of the adult population completed its vaccination regimen. 39.6% of people 16 and 17 years old received at least the 1st dose and 32.5% completed their vaccination. In the age group of 12-15 years, at least 24.1% and 13.4% of this age group completed their vaccination regimen with the 1st dose.

In relation to the vaccination coverage per District, as shown in the map attached, Paphos is in the lead with 90.9% of the adult population that received at least the 1st dose. It is followed by the Districts of Famagusta and Nicosia with 89.5% and 79.2% respectively and the Limassol District with 78.5%. In the District of Larnaca, vaccination coverage at least with the 1st dose is at 74.4%.

As of September 13, 1,421 people living in nursing homes were vaccinated with a 3rd dose. At the same time, 550 transplanted people have been informed by telephone and an appointment has been set for the 3rd dose for tomorrow Wednesday (for most of them), while the vaccination of people with HIV / AIDS has gradually begun with the help of the Gregory Clinic. At the same time, telephone communication with oncology patients has begun to schedule their appointments for the 3rd dose.
