On the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, from Saturday, September 18,2021 and for a period of about three (3) months, at Kornos I/C, construction works will be carried out for the new exit from Kornos to the motorway, towards Limassol. During the works, the left lane, after the Kornos exit on the motorway, towards Limassol, will be closed for 400m. approximately and the traffic to Limassol will be channelled to the right lane.
On the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, from Wednesday, April 14, 2021, works will be carried out to improve the Kornos I/C. The works will last 15 months and concern on the one hand the improvement of the existing branches of the junction on the west side of the motorway, for the entrance to the motorway from Kornos/ Pyrga to Nicosia and for the exit from Limassol to Kornos/ Pyrga, and on the other hand the creation of a new entrance on the east side, from Korno/Pyrga to Limassol.
Also on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, from Monday 9/8/2021 and for a period of about two (2) months, at kornos i/c, works will be carried out to improve the existing entrance from Kornos to the motorway towards Nicosia. During the works, the entrance from Kornos to the motorway towards Nicosia will be closed and traffic to Nicosia will be channelled to Sia I/C via the old Nicosia-Limassol road.
Works on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway will also be carried out on the section from the height of the G.S.P. roundabout to the height of the exit to the Alampra, during the period 28/9/2021 - 28/10/2021, except Friday, Saturday and Sunday, between the hours of 09:00 - 14:00, for the replacement of street lighting in both directions of the motorway. During the works, in each direction, the right lane will be closed at a distance of about two kilometres and traffic will be channelled to the other traffic lanes.
On the old Nicosia-Limassol road,on Sunday 26/9/2021, between the hours of 06:00 – 16:00, the exit to Limassol from the old Nicosia - Limassol road,at the photo-controlled junction of Limassol Avenue with Nicosia Avenue, will be closed to traffic, due to works for the construction of the Nicosia Perimeter Motorway. Traffic to the Nicosia - Limassol motorway in the direction to Limassol will be channelled through the Kotsiatis exit, by the "Solomou" nursery.
On the Limassol-Pafos motorway, from Monday 6/9/2021 until Thursday 30/9/2021, daily except weekends, between the hours of 08:30 - 18:00, in both directions, from the Konia Roundabout to Petra tou Romiou, including the exits, road lighting replacement and maintenance works will be carried out with LED-type luminaires by the Department of Electromechanical Services. During the works, the express lane in both directions will be partially closed and traffic will be channelled to the slow lane. As far as exits are concerned, arrangements will be made on the spot.
Also on the Limassol-Pafos motorway, during the period 17/9/2021 – 30/9/2021,except weekends, between the hours of 08:30 - 18:00, on sections of the motorway in the right lane, from Pissouri to Agia Varvara, watering works will be carried out on the plants of the central islet, by the Department of Forests. During the works, the right lane will be partially closed and traffic will be channelled to the left lane.
On the Larnaka - Paralimni Airport motorway,on Monday 27/9/2021 until Thursday 30/9/2021,between the hours of 08:30 – 15:00, watering works will be carried out by the Department of Forests. During the works, the tangental lane of the central islet of the motorway will be partially closed, from the Rizoelia Roundabout to the exit to Xylofagou, from one direction for a length of 1500m. approximately, each time and the traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane.
On the Larnaka-Kofinou motorway,during the period 22/9/2021 – 2/10/2021,between the hours of 08:30 – 17:00, including weekends, except on holidays, road lighting maintenance works will be carried out on sections of the road next to the Kofinou roundabout and the adjacent exits of the Larnaca District. During the works, one lane of traffic, 1500m, will be partially closed. approximately every time, and traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane.
On the Nicosia-Larnaka motorway,on Monday 27/9/2021 until Thursday 30/9/2021, between the hours of 08:30 – 14:30, tree pruning works will be carried out on the foot of the road by the Department of Forests. During the works, part of the foundation of the motorway from the exit to Lympia to the exit to Koshi,heading to Larnaca, will be partially closed in a length of 200m. per time.
In Nicosia,on Saturday 25/9/2021,on Tuesday 28/9/2021 and on Wednesday 29/9/2021,between the hours of 06:00 - 15:00, on Themistokli Dervi Street,works will be carried out for the construction of an apartment building. During the works, the two lanes of Themistokli Ervi Street in the direction from the Gavriilidis traffic lights to Nicosia, between the Nikokreontos and Teucer lanes, will be closed and traffic will be channelled to one lane of the opposite direction.
Also in Nicosia, from Monday 27/9/2021 until Wednesday 29/9/2021, from 22:00 in the evening until 05:00 in the morning of the next day, horizontal signage works will be carried out on Niki Avenue, from its junction with Griva Digeni Avenue to its junction with Kyriakou Matsi and Kennedy Avenues. During the works, one lane of traffic will be closed at a time and traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane, in a section 300m long. approximately.
In Nicosia district, from Monday 19/4/21 and for a period of 6 months, except Saturday, Sunday and holidays, between the hours of 07:00–17:00, road repair works will be carried out on roads in various areas. During the execution of the works, one lane will be partially closed at a length of about 200 meters and the movement of traffic will take place in the other lane, using the "STOP &GO" signage.
In Limassol, during the period 20/9/2021 - 7/10/2021,except friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, from 21:00 in the evening until 06:00 in the morning of the next day, on the Limassol bypass road, in the section from the Yermasoyia roundabout to the exit to Kourris Dam, works will be carried out by a private company to replace safety parapets. During the works, the right lane will be closed at any time at a length of 1000m. approximately and the traffic will be transferred to the left lane.
Also in Limassol,on Saturday 25/9/2021,between the hours of 08:00 - 13:00, at the junction of Chr. Kranou Street with Daedalides Street, works will be carried out by a private contractor company for the repair of damages to a pipeline of SALA. During the works, one lane of Chr. Helmet, with a northerly direction at a length of 50m. and traffic will be channelled to the other lane.
In Larnaca,during the period 20/9/2021 - 30/9/2021,between the hours of 08:00 - 13:00 except weekends, on Artemis Avenue, in Larnaca, cleaning and pruning works of the central islet will be carried out by Larnaka Municipality. During the works, the tangental lane of traffic of the central islet from both directions will be partially closed for a length of 500m. each time and traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane.
Also in Larnaca, during the period 1/9/2021 – 30/9/2021,between the hours of 08:30 – 17:00, except weekends, at Spyrou avenues Kyprianou, Famagusta, Demetris Christofias and Tassos Papadopoulos avenues, cleaning and pruning of the central islets will be carried out by Larnaka Municipality. During the works, one lane will be closed from both directions and traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane.
In the district of Larnaka, on Monday 27/9/2021,between the hours of 08:00 – 15:00, works will be carried out for the local repair of a damaged asphalt road on the road Aradippou – Avdellerou – Athienou near its junction with the exit to Panagia Aematousa Avdellero. During the works, one lane will be closed alternately per direction and traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane using STOP &GO signs.
In Famagusta,from 22/9/2021 at 07:00 in the morning, until 10/10/2021 at 17:00 in the afternoon, on the road Liopetri - Xylofagou, construction works of water pipelines will be carried out by the Water Development Department. During the above period, part of the one lane of the road in the direction from Liopetri to Xylofagou,at two points, partially, 100 meters long each, will be closed and traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane with the use of a traffic light system.
On the old Nicosia-Limassol road,in the context of the construction works of the Vasilikos Energy Centre Road Network, during the period 24/4/2021-23/10/2021,the eastern road that connects the old Nicosia-Limassol road with the port of Vasilikos will be closed to traffic police. During the works, traffic to and from Vassilikos will be channelled to the corresponding western road, through Mari, except for vehicles and pedestrians moving to and from roadside properties for which the appropriate arrangements will be made.
Also, on the old Nicosia-Limassol road,during the period 23/08/2021 – 15/10/2021,daily except Sundays and holidays, between the hours of 07:00 – 16:00, construction works of water pipelines will be carried out by the Water Development Department. During the works, part of the one lane of traffic, the road, from the 'Choirokoitia Reservoir' to the pumping station of the T.A.Y. in Kofinou, in the direction to Kofinou, will be partially closed at a length of about 100 meters (total length of about 850 meters) and the movement of traffic will take place in the adjacent lane, with the use of temporary traffic lights.
Also, on the old Limassol-Nicosia road, on the section near moni junction, during the period from 25/8/2021 to 30/9/2021 from 07:00 to 17:00 daily except Sundays and holidays, construction / installation works of a pipeline for the needs of SALA will be carried out by a private company. During the works, the northern lane will be partially closed in the direction to Nicosia at a length of approximately 120 m., the traffic will be channeled to the southern lane and traffic will be managed with temporary traffic lights.
On the road Karvounia – Kyperounta, in the area of the Community Council of Kyperounta,during the period 6/9/2021 – 15/10/2021,between the hours of 07:30 – 17:00, daily except weekends and holidays, works will be carried out by the Electricity Authority of Cyprus to increase the electricity load of the Troodos Regional Hospital. During the works, one lane of 100m length will be partially closed at any time. approximately every time and traffic will be managed alternately with temporary traffic lights, which will remain in operation and outside working hours.
