At 80% the vaccination coverage of the population in Cyprus against the coronavirus is approaching.
In her statements to the state radio, the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Health, Maragita Kyriakou, noted that the fully vaccinated reach 78%, while the vaccination rate in children and young people remains low.
Regarding the 3rd dose of vaccine, Mrs. Kyriacou stressed that no decision has yet been taken for those who were vaccinated with the formulation of Johnson&Johnson. The six months have not passed yet, she said, for those vaccinated with this vaccine and instructions are expected to be given on it soon.
This will be followed by the vaccination of people over the age of 65 and health professionals who completed their vaccination programme six months ago.
Those receiving immunosuppressive treatment will be able to be vaccinated earlier, four weeks after the completion of their vaccination.
