VACCINATION FOR NON-GESY CITIZENS

 Filenews 3 August 2021

In order to protect a greater proportion of the population against COVID-19 and to limit the spread and transmission of the virus in the community, the Ministry of Health has decided to facilitate the vaccination of non-registered citizens or beneficiaries of the GHS through walk-in vaccination centres.

Vaccination of citizens who are not registered in the GHS software will start from Friday, August 6th, and every Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the following points:

Province Walk-In Vaccination Center

Nicosia - State Fair D, E, F

Limassol - Spyros Kyprianou A, B, C

Larnaca - Port D

The above centres will replace those currently operating and will also cover the needs of people within the GHS.

In the case of the Provinces of Paphos and Famagusta, unregistered or beneficiaries of the GHS citizens will be able to be vaccinated in the existing walk-in vaccination centres for people within the GHS, operating in the General Hospitals of the two Provinces, on a daily basis (Monday to Friday).

For vaccination, citizens who are not registered or beneficiaries of the GHS should necessarily provide the following:

  1. Identification document (identity, passport, etc.),
  2. Registration card of a foreigner or proof of a relevant application for registration (for cases of a foreign person), and
  3. Application Form for Citizens who are not registered with the GHS at the Vaccination Portal for COVID-19. The form should be fully completed in order to be able to be vaccinated.

Minors (12-17 years old) who meet the above will also be able to be vaccinated in these centres, provided that they have provided all the necessary supporting documents and follow the existing procedure for vaccinating minors. It should be noted that priority is given to walk-in vaccination centres.

The e-mail address covidvac@moh.gov.cy, through which the requests of non-registered or beneficiaries of the GHS were managed, is removed and interested parties will be served in the walk-in vaccination centres as mentioned above.

In addition, the Ministry of Health continues through mobile units, vaccinations in structures such as Central Prisons, migrant shelters, etc., depending on existing needs, as well as in industrial areas and other organizations (e.g. academic institutions), in consultation with the relevant bodies.
