In the early hours of Saturday morning [7 August], between 2am and 3am, a particularly unpleasant vicious burglary took place in Melisovonos, in the area close to the Amphitheatre. The home owner was tied up, the house was wrecked and jewellery, mobile phone, purse and credit cards were stolen.
Two masked men with knives were involved. One tall, the second one smaller, dark skinned. Head scarves were worn as face masks. The smaller man did all the talking and his English was good.
