It has identified on the market a product, category of electrical appliances, which does not comply with the essential safety requirements of the Low Voltage Electrical Equipment (LVD) Directive, since it includes substantial and serious safety risks for the user and as a result, the importer has voluntarily withdrawn and withdrawn from the market, announced the Department of Electromechanical Services.
According to the notice, the product concerns a flexible cable extension set, under the brand name: ASTRA, manufacturer, Heshan City WanShun Electrical Manufacture Co., Ltd. model: W203S, features: 13 A, 250 V, country of manufacture: China, importer: BOHEMIAN FAMILIES LTD.
There's a risk of electric shock and fire.
The Department of Electromechanical Services kindly requires anyone who knows a point of sale of such a product or needs additional information or clarification, to contact the Department by phone 22800522 or e-mail: director@ems.mcw.gov.cy or fax 22348202.
Finally, it urges consumers in possession of the above product not to use it and to return it directly to the seller, i.e. from the store from which they have purchased it.
