On the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, from Wednesday 14 April, 2021 work will be carried out to improve the Kornos junction. The work will take 15 months and concerns on the one hand the improvement of the existing branches of the junction on the west side of the motorway, for entry to the motorway from Korno/Pyrga to Nicosia and for exit from Limassol to Korno/Pyrga, and on the other hand the creation of a new entrance on the east side, from Korno/Pyrga to Limassol.
Also on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, from Monday 19/7/2021 until Thursday 22/7/2021,between the hours of 20:00 in the evening and 06:00 in the morning of the following day, there will be periodic maintenance of the road in the section of road from the exit of Agios Georgios Alamanos to the exit of Skarinou, heading towards Nicosia. During the work, both lanes of the motorway will be partially closed from Limassol to Nicosia at a length of 3 km. and traffic will be diverted to oncoming traffic which will operate in two-way traffic.
On the Limassol-Paphos motorway, from Monday 12/7/2021 until Friday 30/7/2021 between the hours of 08:30 – 15:30, work will be carried out to install reflective fertilisers on the safety stage of the main islet of the road, in the section from the Kolossi exit to Petra tou Romiou. During the work the right lane will be partially closed at a length of 1000m. in only one direction at any time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
Also on the Limassol-Paphos motorway, on the two lanes of traffic heading from Limassol to Paphos, on Monday 19/7/2021 at 21:00 in the evening until 06:00 in the morning of the following day, maintenance work will be carried out on the horizontal road marking for the removal and repositioning of transverse yellow lines. During the work the traffic from Limassol to Paphos will be channelled through the exit to Geroskipou.
On the Limassol bypass road, in its section from the exit of Mouttayakas to the uneven node of the New Limassol Hospital, on Saturday 17/7/2021 and Sunday 18/7/2021,between the hours of 08:00 and 15:00, sweeping work will be carried out as well as the collection of wasted objects. During the work, the right lane will be partially closed at a length of 200m. in only one direction at any time and traffic will be diverted into the slow lane.
On the bypass road of Germasogeia, work continues to improve the road. Between 8 March 2021 and 19 July 2021,part of Psara Street, at its junction with Agios Georgios Street, will be closed to traffic in both directions. During the work, traffic will be channelled through Agia Paraskevi and Isabella streets and similar roads.
In Nicosia, on Spyros Kyprianou Avenue, from its junction with Limassol Avenue to the Tseri roundabout, from Monday 14/6/2021 until Friday 18/8/2021,from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next morning, road repair work will be carried out. During the work the left lanes of traffic will be closed in sections about 1000m long, and traffic will be traffic through the limassol, Joseph Joseph and Constantinople avenues to Tseri Avenue.
Also on Spyros Kyprianou Avenue, near the archangel roundabout, work will be carried out on Friday 16/7/2021 from 20:00 to Monday 19/7/2021 at 06:00 in the morning. During the work, the left lane of Spyros Kyprianou Avenue from the Archangel Roundabout to the "METRO" Roundabout in a section 100 meters long will be closed to traffic and traffic will be diverted to the right lane.
On Themistocles Dervi Street in Nicosia, on Saturday 17/7/2021 between the hours of 06:00-15:00 work will be carried out on the construction of an apartment building. During the work, the two traffic lanes of Themistocles Dervi Road, heading from Gavriilidis Traffic Lights to Nicosia, between Nikokreon and Tykros lanes will be closed and traffic will be diverted to one lane in the opposite direction.
In Nicosia province, from Monday 19/4/21and for a period of 6 months, except Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, between the hours of 07:00–17:00, road repair work will be carried out on roads in various areas. During the execution of the work, one lane will be partially closed at a length of approximately 200 metres and traffic will be carried out in the other lane, using a "STOP & GO" sign.
On the old Nicosia-Limassol road, as part of the construction work of the Road Network of the Vasilikos Energy Centre, during the period 24/4/2021-23/10/2021,the eastern road connecting the old Nicosia-Limassol road with vasilikos port will be closed to traffic. During the work, traffic to and from Vasilikos will be diverted to the corresponding western road, via Marie, except for vehicles and pedestrians moving to and from similar properties for which the appropriate arrangements will be made.
Also on the old Nicosia-Limassol road, during the period 27/05/2021-30/07/2021 daily outside weekends, between the hours 07:00-16:00, construction work will be carried out on water pipelines, by the Department of Water Development. During the work, part of one lane of traffic, the old Nicosia-Limassol road, from the 'Stavrovouni Reservoir'to the pumping station of the TAV in Kofinou, heading towards Kofinou, will be partially closed at a length of about 100 meters (total length of 650 meters, approximately) and traffic will be traffic in the next lane, using temporary traffic lights.
On the old Nicosia-Limassol road also, during the period 21/06/2021–13/08/2021 daily except weekends and public holidays, between the hours 07:00 – 16:00, construction work will be carried out on water pipelines by the Department of Water Development. During the work, part of one lane of the road, from the "Pig Tank" to the pumping station of the TY in Kofinou towards Kofinou, will be partially closed at a length of about 100 meters (total length of about 850 meters) and traffic will be traffic in the adjacent lane, using temporary traffic lights.
On a section of the old Limassol-Nicosia road, despite the Monastery junction, work continues on the construction/installation of a pipeline for the needs of the SALA, by a private company. The work will last until Friday 30/7/2021 and will take place from 7:00am. until 4:00pm, daily except Sundays and public holidays. During the work, the northern traffic lane towards Nicosia will be partially closed at a length of 120m. approximately, traffic will be diverted to the southbound lane and traffic will be managed with temporary traffic lights.
