Following the great public interest in "Walk-In" vaccination centres, vaccinations are being planned to be carried out in larger centres, where more vaccines will be available to serve the public, said Deputy Director of Nursing Services Evagoras Tambouris.
"The first two days are on a trial basis. Seeing the interest and response that exists from the world, we are now planning for vaccinations to be carried out in larger centres and 200-300 vaccines available, depending on demand," he said.
Mr. Tambouris said that walk-in vaccinations continue as normal for a second day.
"By 10:40 there were 338 vaccinations in Cyprus. In Nicosia there were 73 vaccinations. 84 in Larnaca, 72 in Limassol, 53 in Famagusta and 56 in Paphos," he noted.
"Walk-In" vaccination centres operate in the Health Centres of Latsia and Linopetra, in the General Hospitals of Paphos and Famagusta and in the port of Larnaca.
Currently, only Beneficiaries of the GHS with Pfizer vaccines are vaccinated in these Centres. Vaccination Centres are open from Monday to Friday from 8.00 -13.00.
