PLEASE BE ALERT
Reports that a man has been knocking on doors asking for payment for the pool cleaning.
The man was not from the company who usually clean the pool and is clearly a con-man.
He is described as 5ft 8, round head with short dark hair. He spoke English with an accent – he may be Bulgarian.
He drove a pickup with a couple of pool poles on the back to
make him look legit. Unfortunately the registration number of the vehicle was not captured. In this instance the man was pretending to be the pool cleaner, but he could just as easily claim to be the gardener by changing the few bits and bobs in the back of his truck.
IF YOU HAVE A VISIT FROM SOMEONE SAYING THEY ARE THERE TO COLLECT THE MONEY FOR POOL CLEANING, OR GARDENING, ASK FOR IDENTIFICATION - AND IF THEY CANNOT PROVIDE ACCEPTABLE IDENTIFICATION, PHONE YOUR USUAL POOL CLEANING COMPANY/GARDENER TO CHECK. IF IN ANY DOUBT DO NOT HAND OVER ANY MONEY.
