The largest lawsuit in Cypriot history was filed yesterday in the Nicosia District Court by Savvas Savvides and Associates and concerns claiming damages for violation of constitutional rights due to the measures, which introduced the decrees in the last year and a half. The action, as we are informed, is being brought against the State and the Minister of Health.
As the lawyer, Savvas Savvides, told associated news, the 200 plaintiffs are also requesting from the Court a series of recognition decisions and declarations for the abolition of the so-called safe pass, the declaration as illegal and unconstitutional of the direct or indirect mandatory vaccination with any vaccines for the crown in relation to them, as well as a number of other decrees of a legal and economic nature.
The applicants also lodged an interim application requesting the adoption of a relevant prohibition order in relation to key issues of the so-called safepass with regard to themselves and in particular with regard to direct or indirect coercion to vaccination, until the final hearing of the case.
Mr Savvides stressed that "all citizens are equal and everyone has the right to define and decide how to handle the issues of their health and body. Every citizen also has the right to demand that state authority does not infringe his or her guaranteed rights and that there are always much milder ways - once they exist - to deal with a situation within the framework of the Constitution and the principle of proportionality."
