NEW RELAXES IN SPORTS [from 1 July] AND RESTAURANTS

With new loosening, the Cabinet has returned to sport and focus. On the recommendation of the Minister of Health Konstantinos Ioannou, he decided with regard to sport, the presence of fans in matches of all sports at 50% of the completeness of the stadiums with effect from 1 July. At the same time, new data will apply to focus.

For sport:

Entrance to the stadium will only be allowed if one of the following conditions is met:

  1. Individuals who have completed their vaccination regimen with either the Johnson&Johnson monodosive vaccine or both doses within the licensed vaccines of Moderna, AstraZeneca or Pfizer/BioNTech.
  2. Persons holding a certificate with a negative result from a PCR or rapid test, with sampling carried out within 24 hours before the start of the race.
  3. People who have been sick with COVID-19 in the last six months and hold a recovery certificate given by the Ministry of Health.

The above decision will be regularly assessed, with the intention of increasing the permitted percentage of fans gradually, if epidemiological data permit.

Restaurants, Cafes & Bars:

In addition, and given the improvement in epidemiological indicators, the Council of Ministers decided today to increase the number of persons per table in the dining areas to 10 people per table. This decision will be settled by Decree and will be implemented with the adoption of the Decree.
