Limassol has the highest mortality rate per 100000 population, namely 52.8 deaths per 100000 population.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, Larnaca is followed by 42.3 deaths per 100000 population and Nicosia with 36.4 deaths per 100000 population.
The data analysis period is March 2020 to June 2021. As of June 3, 2021, 432 deaths of people diagnosed with COVID-19 have been reported. 67% are for men (n=288 deaths) and the remaining 33% for women (n=144 deaths).
Of the 432 deaths, 362 (84%), had an underlying cause of COVID-19. for men (n=240 deaths) and the remaining 34% for women (n=122 deaths). , has fallen from 82 years in 2020 to 77 years in 2021.
In December 2020 and January 2021 the highest number of deaths of people positive for COVID-19 has been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic, with the figure reaching 40% of the total number of deaths (85 and 86 deaths respectively). Followed by Nicosia Province (n=126, 35%), Larnaca Province (n=63, 17%), Paphos Province (n=24.7%), Famagusta Province (n=14.4%), 4 deaths have Unspecified Province of Permanent Residence (1%).
