GESY - EMAIL WITH AMOUNT CHARGED BY DOCTOR TO BE SENT TO BENEFICIARIES

 Filenews 22 June 2021

The Health Insurance Agency (EDA) said in a statement that it has enriched its communication with the beneficiaries of the GHS, so that the information provided includes information on the indicative costs of the services received by beneficiaries from GHS providers.

In particular, the automated message received by beneficiaries by e-mail each time a claim for compensation is registered by the provider providing them with services now includes information on the indicative costs of the health services they received.

This addition enhances the provision of quality and comprehensive information to beneficiaries and is in the context of the Agency's ongoing effort to improve the System's services.

The OAC shall invite beneficiaries if they have reason to believe that the indicative cost of the health services they have received is inaccurate or in any way incorrect, as they communicate directly with the GHS Service Centre.

Please note that these automated messages are sent to beneficiaries who have registered an e-mail address when registering with the GHS. Beneficiaries who have not registered an e-mail address and wish to do so are invited to contact the GHS Service Centre for an explanation of the process of updating their contact details.
