Tomorrow Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the Holy Monastery of Agios Neophytos will be held the funeral service of the archmandrite Alexios Englisriotis, head brother of Metropolitan Kykkos and Tillyria Nikiforos.
The archmandrite of the Monastery of Agios Neophytos, Alexios Enklinriotis, passed away on Saturday, after days of battle with the crown. The priest, beloved throughout Paphos, who in recent times was particularly active as one of the pioneers of the construction of the chapel of Agios Ephraim, next to the Monastery of Agios Neophytos, was infected about a month ago by the virus, resulting in him being transferred to the Nicosia General Hospital due to the criticality of his condition and remained intubated ever since.
The sad news was announced on their social media accounts shortly after by the Monastery of Agios Neophytos and the holy church of Ag. Konstantinou and Eleni in Nicosia:
"His life was extinguished a while ago, afflicted by the crown, P. Alexios Enclaviotis. Let him rest in peace in the heavenly sacrificial," the Nicosia temple's announcement said.
The announcement of the Monastery of Agios Neophytos, in which the deceased served as the second order for many years, stated:
"The abbot and the Brotherhood of the Holy Monastery of Agios Neophytos announce with deepest sadness the emigration to upper Jerusalem of one of the brothers of our Monastery, Archimandrite Alexiou Enclysoriotis, who fell asleep today Saturday, June 12, 2021. We wish wholeheartedly that the Lord of life and death rank his soul "in the land of the living".
Alexios Enclaviotis was a brother of Metropolitan Kykkos and Tellyria Nikiforos. He was a particularly active member of the Church in the spiritual field and in recent years he had pioneered the transfer of the people of Saint Neophytos to the municipal language, a work that was characterized as colossal in size and which, through many years of effort and economic cost, he managed to carry out.
