ALEXIOS ENCLAVIOTIS [Father Alexis at Agios Neophytos Monastery] PASSED AWAY - HE WAS SICK WITH THE CORONAVIRUS

Archimandrite of the Monastery of Agios Neophytos Alexios Enklinriotis, fell asleep today, after days of battle with the crown.

The priest, beloved throughout Paphos, who in recent times was particularly active as one of the pioneers of the construction of the chapel of Agios Ephraim, next to the Monastery of Agios Neophytos, was infected about three weeks ago by the virus, resulting in him being transferred to the General Hospital of Nicosia due to the critical condition of his condition and has remained intubated ever since.

The sad news was announced on his social media account this afternoon by the Church of Constantine and Helen in Nicosia:

"His life was extinguished a while ago, afflicted by the crown, P. Alexios Enclaviotis. May he rest in peace in the heavenly sacrificial..."

Announcement issued by the Monastery of Agios Neophytos:

"The Abbot and the Brotherhood of the Holy Monastery of Agios Neophytos announce with deepest sadness the emigration to upper Jerusalem of one of the brothers of our Monastery Archimndritos Alexiou Enclysoriotis, who fell asleep today Saturday, June 12, 2021. We wish wholeheartedly that the Lord of life and death rank his soul "in the land of the living". The details of the exit sequence will be announced at a later date."

Alexios Enclaviotis was the brother of Metropolitan Kykkos and Tellyria Nikiforos. He was a particularly active member of the Church in the spiritual field and in recent years he had pioneered the transfer of the Astes of Agios Neophytos to the municipal language, a work that was characterized as colossal in size and which, through many years of effort and economic cost, he managed to carry out.
