Finally, it is recalled that the vaccination process with the AstraZeneca vaccine is under way by the Personal Physicians for their beneficiaries aged 30 years and over who wish to do so. So far, doctors who have expressed interest have been given about 25,000 doses of the vaccine.

It is also noted that 39.6% have already been vaccinated with the 1st dose of the vaccine by 11 May (293,180 people), while 12.4% have completed their vaccination regimen (91,459 people). With this data, and with the total vaccinations carried out in Cyprus reaching 384,639, our country, according to the OurWorldInData website, ranks 4th among the Member States of the European Union in terms of dosing per 100 inhabitants.

The effort to achieve the target set for vaccination with at least the 1st dose of 65% of the population that can be vaccinated within the 1st half of the year continues at an intensive pace and with the aim of allowing citizens aged 18 years and over the possibility of scheduling vaccination appointments in May. At the same time, steps are being taken to give older people the opportunity to arrange appointments again if they have not done so so far.
