Four gorges near the Arodes villages are under review with the hopes of making them more accessible to nature lovers.
Officials from the tourism ministry as well as the Pano Arodes community leader have visited the sites to review their suitability as nature paths.
Pano Arodes and Kato Arodes are in the Paphos district, halfway between Coral Bay and Polis Chrysochous – with the famous Avakas Gorge about a twenty-minute drive to west.
Further planning is to proceed in coordination with the forestry department to see where and when it may be possible to make the four gorges accessible to local and foreign tourists.
Home-grown natural beauty spots have received unprecedented attention and renewed interest for Cypriots during the pandemic, as foreign travel was curtailed and many other activities have been restricted.
