The process for rescheduling appointments for the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine is at an advanced stage, Health Minister Konstantinos Ioannou said at a press conference on the national vaccination plan.
As he said, texting to beneficiaries is expected to begin the day after tomorrow, Thursday. In order to allow parallel processing of appointments, vaccinations will also be carried out on Sunday, under the coordination of the Director General of the Ministry and with significant assistance from volunteer health professionals.
At the same time, he noted, vaccination with AstraZeneca vaccines is also progressing in the dispensaries of Personal Physicians for ages over 20, in an effort to speed up the vaccination process. Indicatively to date more than 320 Personal Physicians are participating in the scheme and they have been sent more than 26,000 doses.
