Please be very careful about leaving windows or doors open in empty rooms. There was an incident last night in the Lower Stephanie area where an intruder was captured on camera at an open ground floor door, moving aside the curtain and shining a torch into a room. There is evidence of dead leaves on the floor so it is thought that the intruder entered the room but did not disturb or take anything.
This was at 8.47pm. There was a similar incident a few weeks ago in the same area but on this occasion jewellery and some cash was taken.
The thief is clearly very quiet - in one of the incidents there was no reaction from the dog.
