The Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (Pasykaf) is calling for people to become members to support the operation of its services and programmes.
“By becoming a member, you become part of our big family,” the NGO wrote on its website.
Interested parties can fill in the online form and register as a Pasykaf member with a €20 annual subscription fee.
Members receive news and updates on upcoming events and other activities.
Money from membership fees will be used to fund the charity’s services which include free palliative home care and medical care to cancer patients and their families across Cyprus, and other specialised services including physiotherapy and lymphoedema clinics in addition to psychological support.
The 35-year-old charity offers its services to over 6,000 people with cancer and their families nationwide.
Those interested to become volunteers with the association can get involved in charity events, patient support services, administration and education or patient rights.
Pasykaf aims to improve and ensure the quality of life of people and families who are experiencing cancer at all stages of the disease from diagnosis to treatment to rehabilitation to bereavement.
