MORE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS IN PAPHOS SHOPPING CENTRE IN NEXT 6 MONTHS

Aiming to make the traditional shopping center of Paphos one of the most accessible and functional in Cyprus, the Municipality of Paphos proceeds to carry out a series of improvement interventions in the region. To this end, the Mayor of Paphos signed with the contractor the contract for the execution of the project "Construction of facilities and improvements in the Paphos Shopping Centre", with a total cost of €153,000 and a duration of execution of six months.

In statements after the signing of the contract, Phaedon Phaedon noted that the area of the traditional shopping centre is a high priority issue for the Local Authority and that is why the Municipality is making continuous improvements, which aim to improve accessibility, especially for people with mobility and other problems, further landscaping and improve the functionality of the area.

As part of the project, ramps for people with disabilities and blind road markings will be built, guide and information signs will be placed, corrections will be made to road lighting poles, existing water meters will be underground, service lockers and parking ticketing bases will be built, lids will be placed on wells and metal railings on external stairs, stairs will be built and corrections will be made to existing , as well as other work to improve security and accessibility in the region.
