LIFE-SAVING VACCINES - RARE CASES OF SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS

 Filenews 7 April 2021

Under the evaluation of the EMA Committee for Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment (PRAC) all vaccines approved for the purpose of collecting data and to show their efficacy. Every study and evaluation that is carried out adds more and more evidence that vaccines are effective and protect against serious disease, hospitalizations and deaths.

According to the Ministry of Health, by intensifying vaccination without postponements that encapsulate risks we will be able to unlock the economy, tourism, mass social gatherings and events, travel and get our lives back.

MHRA study:

According to a study by the UK Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) published on 5 April, cases of thrombosis involving vaccinated people are a particularly rare event and affect a specific group of people.

EMA: infinitesimal chances of rare side effects

The head of vaccines at the European Medicines Agency (EMA) said in a statement today that there is indeed a causal link between AstraZeneca's Covid-19 vaccine and rare cases of thrombosis. The EMA, in a statement after that statement, distanced itself from saying it was continuing to examine whether astraZeneca's vaccine against Covid-19 is linked to the rare formation of clots. Based on the internationally vaccinated numbers and the EMA's previous opinion, the chances of this happening are infinitesimal. The exact findings of the opinion will be published tomorrow by the Agency with an official announcement.

Like all drugs, vaccines can have side effects. Vaccines, all today save the lives of millions of people around the world and will continue to do so.
