In view of the Easter holidays and with a view to celebrating the customs and traditions safely and in the best possible way, while respecting the provisions of the Decree with care, the following are recalled:
1. Exceptionally and only for the Big Saturday (May 1st), in order to facilitate the participation of the faithful in the Resurrection Sequence on the night of the Great Saturday, travel is allowed only for the purpose of going to a place of religious worship until 1 a.m. (Great Saturday to Easter Sunday).
All other days, the travel ban begins at 9 p.m.
2. Exceptionally and only for Easter Sunday (2 May), persons may move on up to two occasions by sending a text message to 8998 and for a reasonable period of 3 hours at a time.
The purpose of each movement may be:
• different for both cases (2 different message categories) at two different times of the day. For example, send SMS 5 to go to a family/friends home at noon and send SMS 6 for travel for physical exercise purposes in the afternoon.
• same at two different times of the day. For example, send SMS 5 to go to a family/friends home at noon and send SMS 5 to go to provide care to a person who cannot self-serve.
• same in consecutive periods of time (renewal of time). For example, send SMS 5 to go to a family/friend's house and send SMS 5 to stay in the same place for an additional 3 hours.
For all three cases above and subject to the fact that a text message is sent to 8998, travel is allowed for a total of 6 hours per person.
All other days, travel is only allowed once a day by sending a text message to 8998.
3. Exceptionally and only on Easter Sunday (2 May), persons other than permanent residents may be present in a residence, provided that the total number of persons in the house does not exceed 10 persons, including minors.
For example, if in a house the permanent residents are 3 people, they can accommodate an additional 7 people, regardless of age, or if in a house the permanent residents are 6 people, an additional 4 people, including children, can be accommodated.
All other days, the presence of persons in a residence other than permanent residences is prohibited.
4. Until 9 May, travel to another privately owned premises (e.g. holiday home, etc.) in the Province of Permanent Residence and/or in a Province other than permanent residence is permitted, by sending a text message with a choice of number 8. The journey can be completed either on the same day within the reasonable period of 3 hours and during the permitted travel hours or on another day during the permitted travel times (5 a.m. to 9 p.m.). It is understood that in case of return to the place of permanent residence on a different day from the initial movement, a text message with a choice of the number 8 is required.
