In 28 complaints from citizens and two premises, the Police proceeded, regarding the frenetic carnival party in old port square, which ended at about 21.00, with the start of curfew.
Police checks are continuing.
It is recalled that in the late afternoon there was a crowd of carnival-goers in the Old Port of Limassol. Crowds of people set up a carnival party, with music and dancing.
After this development, police men rushed to the scene, trying to prevent overcrowding and implement the measures.
It is worth noting that in a speech the Minister of Justice, Emily Yolitis, called for an end to crowding, such as those observed on Sunday night in the centre of Limassol by carnival-goers.
