From 26 February 2021, it is now possible, in addition to judges and protocols, togive vows and by lawyers or officials authorised by the Supreme Court, with the aim of directly serving citizens, either from law firms or from Citizen Service Centres, without the need for citizens to go to the Courts of the Republic.
This will also bring about decongestion of the Courts by citizens who wish to bring in vows, especially in case of out-of-court cases, as well as save time for the staff of the Judicial Service.
The relevant law was passed in a bill last Friday and published in the Official Journal of the Republic entitled "The Vows (Amendment) Act of 2021", following a bill tabled by the Ministry of Justice and Public Order.
