It condemns the vandalism of a mosque in the Diocese of Limassol, the Government, which describes the actions as unacceptable while talking about bullying.

In a written statement, the Government Representative, Kyriakos Kousios, said that "we strongly and unreservedly condemn the unacceptable actions of some brainless people who, under the pretext of supposed patriotism, insult religious places of worship, but also the very concept of patriotism taught to us by our glorious heroes, who honoured and protected the country by suggesting their principles and ideals and not bullying".

It also notes that "malicious actions such as these do not in any way contribute to the creation of the right climate that we seek in our effort to find a solution to the Cyprus problem and the reunification of our country".

He also indicated that, "the Government will show absolutely no tolerance for such delinquent behaviours that in essence affect the country itself, but also the fighting and genuine patriotic spirit that distinguishes and has always distinguished Cypriot Hellenism".
