The end of 2020 marked the completion of the 2nd phase of the General Health System and the closure of a year and a half of its operation.

According to the "radiography" of the System 853,422 beneficiaries have been registered with the GHS and a list of personal physicians, 756,440 beneficiaries have visited personal doctors and 574,007 beneficiaries have visited medical specialists. In addition, 333,080 beneficiaries visited medical specialists for diagnostic tests, 606,083 people have procured medicines and 523,679 have undergone laboratory tests.
For the period 01/06/2020 to 31/12/2020, a total of 43,448 beneficiaries received inpatient care services.
The System currently operates with the participation of more than 70% of doctors and more than 88% of beds on a Cyprus basis.
