The 2nd trimester, she adds, is a turning point in the Vaccination Plan, since by the end of June, more than 60% of the adult population who have expressed their desire will have received at least the 1st dose of the vaccine, as there will also be an increase in the quantities of vaccines arriving in Cyprus within the next period, due to the increase in the possibility of their production, on a global scale.

To date, more than 135,000 vaccinations have been carried out in Cyprus, of which more than 93,475 relate to the 1st dose of the vaccine and the numbers are increasing daily. More than 36,000 of our fellow citizens have completed their vaccination. At the same time, more than 1,714 people belonging to vulnerable groups of the population have received the vaccine, while 207 vaccinations have been carried out on people in need of home care, Ms. Kalakuta notes.

Residents and staff of nursing homes and institutions of chronic adult diseases.

Frontline health professionals (nurses with Covid-19 patients, ICU, ICU, Ambulance departments, etc.)

People>80 years old.

People working in PYD centres (Primary Health Care)

People >75 years old.

Other health professionals/staff.

Persons >=16 years of age at high risk for severe disease and age the rest of the population.
