The Paphos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company, in collaboration with a cycling company and the support of the Ministry of Tourism, has completed the first phase of planning and creating cycling routes in Paphos province since the beginning of the year. The pandemic that has emerged in the meantime has also left this design, like many others, incomplete and now those responsible are turning to the second half of 2021 to promote it, since the situation with the crown will allow this.
The design for the new cycling routes was aimed at highlighting the countryside, the beautiful landscapes and the special morphology of the communities of Paphos. Four new routes have been planned covering mainly northeastern Paphos. At the same time, the implementation of the second phase, which includes five routes covering the areas of Pegia, the communities of Launa, Chrysochous Town and Akamas, had begun before the pandemic.
Visitors to Paphos Province will now be able to enjoy the exciting experience of cycling even more, upgraded as part of the wider holidays in Paphos, as a magical destination of activities, adventure and professional training.
At the same time, the EFF and its partners have an ongoing effort to find the necessary funds for the implementation of the necessary projects when the health and economic conditions permit, while in full implementation is the plan to promote and communicate these new routes through specialized channels promoting cycling tourism.
