A case of the circulation of counterfeit notes is being investigated by the Paphos TAF.
According to the Police, on 10 March 21 it was reported by the transaction manager of the Bank of Cyprus in Paphos that between the dates 18.2.20 and 16.2.21 three banknotes were received by various customers of the above bank, which constituted customer receipts and which at first sight appear to be counterfeit.
These are two 50 euro notes, and one 20 euro banknote.
Examinations are also carried out by members of the BANK in order to locate the customer, who deposited these notes with the Police.
Examinations are continuing by the Paphos Crime Detection Department.
