The new route of the well-known cyclist of Paphos, Petros Stylianou, will now be destined for the House of Representatives. The PASYKAF volunteer who aims for life to help our cancer patients, after his own adventure with the disease, will arrive today, Thursday, in parliament in order to have contacts with Members and the competent Health Committee. A great goal, to convince the need for urgent creation in Paphos of an oncology centre for the relief of cancer patients.
Speaking to "F", Petros Stylianou stressed that the suffering of cancer patients is now greater than ever, since in addition to their almost daily odyssey to go from Paphos to Nicosia or Limassol and their return after treatment, which is often particularly excruciating, they now also have to deal with the practical obstacles brought about by the pandemic and the resulting restrictions.
"I would like to thank the chairman of the Health Committee, Costas Konstantinou, and the Members of Paphos," he stressed, "for their help in arranging today's meetings and contacts. The creation of oncology in Paphos is a major humanitarian and social obligation of the state and I hope the Government will be convinced of this."
Petros Stylianou reinforces with the demonstrations organized around Cyprus PASYKAF and other cancer relief organizations the ongoing fight for funding for years, while taking care to raise public awareness of the need to create an oncology centre in Paphos as well.
