A CYCLIST IN PARLIAMENT - PETER STYLIANOU's NEW ROUTE TO SUPPORT CANCER PATIENTS

The new route of the well-known cyclist of Paphos, Petros Stylianou [a resident of Tala], will be bound for the House of Representatives. The PASYKAF volunteer who aims for life to help our cancer patients, after his adventure with the disease, will arrive at parliament on Thursday 18 March in order to have contacts with Members and the competent Health Committee. A great goal, to convince the need for urgent creation in Paphos of an oncology centre for the relief of cancer patients.

Speaking to "F", Petros Stylianou stressed that the suffering of cancer patients is now greater than ever, since in addition to their almost daily trek to go from Paphos to Nicosia or Limassol and their return after treatment, which is often particularly excruciating, they now also have to deal with the practical obstacles brought about by the pandemic and the resulting restrictions.

"I would like to thank the Chairman of the Health Committee, Costas Konstantinou, and the Members of Paphos", he stressed, "for their help in arranging the meetings and contacts of the 18th current one. The creation of oncology in Paphos is a major humanitarian and social obligation of the state and I hope we will be convinced of this."

Petros reinforces with the demonstrations organized around Cyprus PASYKAF and other cancer relief bodies has been fighting for years, while ensuring that public awareness of the need to create an oncology centre in Paphos.
