The work that has been in the everyday life and in the contacts of the paphos institutions for two whole decades, without ever going into the path of implementation, is beginning to be promoted today at last. It is about the regeneration of the main avenue of the Municipality, Michalaki Kyprianou and the consequent connection of the central core of Pegia with the tourist area of Coral Bay.
Speaking to "F", the Mayor of Pegia, Marinos Lambrou, stressed that work has begun these days on the contribution of Michalaki Kyprianou to Akamantos Street in order to increase security in the area through the widening of the demolition of a building.
"The studies on the major project have now been completed and its announcement is expected later this month," he stressed. "It will be two phases of projects, the first of which will be two million compared to 2.5 million, while the second will be five million. The cost of the first phase will be paid by the Municipality of Pegia, while the second relates to urban planning work".
The improvement of the main road axis of Pegia, according to Marino Lambrou, will include lighting, construction of sidewalks, drainage and underground cables.
