In 2021 it will find Paphos with noticeable improvements in the field of sport. This is highlighted by the municipal councillor and chairman of the Municipality's Sports Committee, Gauge Loizidis, after signing the contract to upgrade six sports venues, at a total cost of €255,000.
Mr. Loizidis stressed that the upgrade projects concern the two sports areas located on Alexandroupolis Avenue, the two spaces located on Kaningos Street, the Ahmed Rashid plots, the area on Agios Dionysios Street in the area of The Swimming Pool and the area on Midhat Pasha Street in Muttalos.
"Expensive floors and new equipment will be installed in these areas," he said, "while fences, floorings, lighting reinforcement and other improvement work will begin immediately and are expected to be completed within three months."
The project is 85% funded by the K.O.A., as part of the Social Sports Development Plan, concluded Lyzidis.
