The European Union's medicines regulator is preparing to approve Johnson & Johnson's monodosic vaccine early next month, According to Bloomberg.
Approval of the vaccine by the European Medicines Agency is expected on 11 March, according to information from an EU official cited by the news agency.
If all goes smoothly, this will be the fourth approved Covid-19 vaccine in the EU, along with those of Moderna, AstraZeneca and Pfizer -BioNTech.
It is noted that within the week, the FDA in the USA considered Johnson & Johnson's vaccine safe and effective in its trials, and the opinion of the FDA's Committee of Independent Experts on vaccine safety is expected later in the day.
