LOOKING FOR COMMON GROUND REGARDING PAPHOS MARINA

The continuing "apnea" for the Paphos marina, despite recent assurances by the Deputy Minister of Tourism to promote the issue, has caused alarm to all the Pafites players of the consortia involved who have participated in the competition for the last 15 years to undertake the major project.

As the "F" reveals today, pending any development in the matter either at judicial or political level, staffs of the economic operators of Paphos are seeking common ground and preparing for all eventualities, which are now "dark areas".

From the point of view of the economic and business players of the province who have open channels in order for the economy of the province to emerge from the quagmire created in addition by the pandemic, a new effort is being made behind the spotlight to convince everyone that at the stage we are in would be the safest and most efficient scenario the cooperation of all the Pafia players of the marina for joint execution and management of the project. An effort, however, which according to the same information, also encounters reactions from some sides.

In this context, our own information is reported, at the initiative of Paphos business bodies, a new meeting of the four Paphos Deputies and representatives of bodies with competent state bodies, as well as the General Prosecutor's Office, is being set up in an effort to speed up the procedures for promoting the project.
