The Ministry of Health's Single Price List of Medicinal Products for 2021 is in place from 1/2/2021. As the Health Insurance Agency (EDA) informs, the price change in certain medicinal products may affect the Contribution II paid by patients for these medicines.
It is recalled that for each category of medicinal product the Agency fully compensates the cheapest available medicinal product. In this case the beneficiary pays only a Supplement of €1 per medicine. If the doctor prescribes a medicine other than the cheapest in the category that fully compensates the GHS, then the beneficiary pays the difference in price (Contribution II).
Beneficiaries will be able to be informed about the revised Contributions II for the Medicinal Products to be affected, from the GHS website. The List of Medicinal Products (CSP) will be posted in the section "Providers/Medicines-Pharmacies-Consumables/Lists of Medicinal Products-Protocols-Requests-'Forms/Out-of-hospital Medicines" in this link.
