SIBERIA - WHY DO COWS WEAR BRAS?

 Filenews 29 December 2020

Every time they go out for water this winter – which is likely to reach below 60C – cows dress in bras in this Siberian village.

"The main concern is to keep the animal warm," Semyon said. 'Cows should be dressed when the temperature drops to minus 30C or minus 35C.

"They don't wear any more clothes – just a bra."

Specifically, fur bras help keep the skin around the breast soft, and in this way more milk is produced.

This practice saves up to two litres of milk a day.

The lowest officially recorded temperature was minus 67.7°C (minus 89.9°F) in 1933, but locals say an earlier reading was minus 71.2°C (minus 96.2°F) in January 1924.

The village claims to be the coldest permanently inhabited village on the planet and is known as the Pole of cold, according to the DailyMail.
