As part of the Ministry of Health's strategy to carry out checks both on the general population and targeted at specific sites and services, a programme of control of the general population is under way using the rapid antigen detection method.
At the same time, rapid antigen testing continues in nursing homes, rehabilitation centres and other closed structures in the Provinces of Limassol, Paphos and Larnaca, while samples from mobile units are carried out in the Police and other Public Sector Services/Departments. In addition to the above, checks are also carried out in the hospitals of the OKYPY and in private hospitals.
The sampling units for the control of the general population will be located tomorrow, 1 December 2020, at the following points:
Limassol
Gregory Axentiou Square - Governorate 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul and Agios Artemios, Kapsalos 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Larnaca
Sklavenitis Supermarket Parking (S. Kyprianou Avenue) 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Metro Supermarket Parking 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Nicosia
Church of Agios Dimitrios, Acropolis 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Prodromos Post Office Parking, Strovolos 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
The programme is aimed at all citizens, especially and with priority, those employed in public service areas, distributors and frontline professionals.
Citizens will be informed of the result of their laboratory examination by text message within 24 hours, but also in writing, if they wish, by the mobile units within 30 minutes of sampling.
The Ministry of Health thanks the Local Authorities for their willingness and cooperation.
