OUTBREAK IN ANIMAL POISONINGS, ECOLOGISTS DENOUNCE

 Filenews 30 December 2020

Complaints of animal poisoning are growing every day throughout Cyprus, while as reported by the Movement of Ecologists – Citizens' Cooperation in recent days indignant citizens call the party offices and denounce this unacceptable phenomenon, as they feel unprotected by the state and the competent services.

Cases of poisoning, mainly dogs and cats, are detected both in cities and in the countryside.

The other day in Akamas, a panicked citizen was running with the dog in his arms, after poisoning.

Yesterday a resident of Heptagsoia complained that some people placed baits on his own property resulting in his six-month-old dog being poisoned and dying.

"When will this barbaric act of unscrupulous citizens finally stop?" asks the Movement of Ecologists.
